Questions/facts about Branham/the message:
Touching the surface of 4 categories to start; prophesies, honesty, signs, healings, and doctrines.
Prophesies
- Read Duet 18:20-22. If Branham had any prophecies that did not happen, would that make him a false prophet? …Have you ever thought to fact check the prophecies you’ve heard of happening?

Honesty
- Would you trust a leader who blatantly lied? Did you know that Branham said some starkly contradicting things? Would you like to look at some examples to see if it counts as a lie?

- He lied about his birth year: https://william-branham.org/site/topics/birth_year
- Read Matthew 7:21-23 and 24:24. Assuming William Branham did have “Signs and wonders”, is that enough to trust him?
- The “Ring of Mystery” is used to vindicate William Branham as a prophet, but some facts do not line up.

- Remember, even if it did happen the way he said, that does not “vindicate him” or prove what he said was of God
Healings
- Quick video with a few examples from John Collins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEB_Dp8H3uQ
- Donny Morton: https://william-branham.org/site/blog/20161121_the_failed_healing_of_howard_branham
- Howard Branham https://william-branham.org/site/blog/20161121_the_failed_healing_of_howard_branham
- Did some actually happen? I don’t think so, and I haven’t seen one healing actually backed up with facts. Even if Branham did perform actual healings, this would not prove him to be a prophet of God. However, as it is clear Branham was very dishonest about at least many of his “healings”.
Doctrine
- Read Proverbs 30:5-6. We are not supposed to add to the Bible, but Branham teaches things like the serpent seed doctrine, and many other doctrines seem to be adding to God’s Word. Is that wrong, or does he get an exception… If so, why?
- How Branham taught the Serpent Seed doctrine: https://en.believethesign.com/index.php?title=The_Serpent%27s_Seed
- We are all made in the image of God, (Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 5:1-2) and God does not show partiality between races, but instead desires unity and the gospel to go out to every ‘tribe, tongue, and nation’ (Deuteronomy 10:17-19, Colossians 3:11, Ephesians 2:14-16, Malachi 2:10, Revelation 7:9).
- So why did Branham feel the need to share this ‘hidden doctrine’ in Genesis that is not consistent with the narrative of scripture?
- The serpent seed doctrine was used in the KKK as a supposedly ‘biblical’ justification for the racial prejudice and abuse. Roy E. Davis, a member of the KKK was Branham’s first pastor. It’s not a stretch to think that this is where he may have learned this doctrine. (https://en.believethesign.com/index.php?title=File:VofHealingOct50pg14.jpg)
